Freddie Jones

YEDF Founder/President

A retired USAF service connected Vietnam Veteran, has served as the full-time volunteer director since 2003. My priority is to Re-Launch the organization with a team of energetic, highly educated individuals with a passion for youth development.

Jaquetta Jones

YEDF Executive Director

Jaquetta compliments YEDF's end goal in planting the seeds of entrepreneurship in a group of independent-minded young people who recognize the value of critical thinking and high-quality education. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Baker College of Flint and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. Jaquetta is eager to take the lead and uphold the integrity of YEDF’s vibrant system. She is the founder and CEO of Balance Elite Solutions with over 25 years’ experience in corporate banking, financial development, and global budget management.

Dr. Robert C. Walker

Management Team

Former DPS Board President and a longtime YEDF ADVOCATE will provide essential advisory and consultant services to strengthening the YEDF board leadership and governance, partnership and resources development to ensure successful long-term growth.
The YEDF board is committed to having a board and management team empowered to develop effective partnerships with businesses, organizations, and institutions that will provide resilient support. The YEDF Board is delighted to have Dr. Walker as a member of its Management Team.

Ocie B.G. Jones

Foundation Board Member

USAF Major, Retired - a resident of St. Louis, Missouri. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, two Master Degrees one in Human Relations and the other in Contract Management from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri. While in the military she achieved Master, Instructor standing. Specialized training in the design and delivery of seminars and workshops relating to teamwork, empowerment, dealing with difficult people, and coping with change.

Moe Hamdan

Development Team Member

Moe Hamdan received his bachelors degree in 2016 and masters 2017 degree in biomedical engineering from Wright State University of Dayton, OH while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout his educational journey. He has demonstrated leadership excellence at multiple industrial internships, research opportunities, and entrepreneurial ventures; including his family’s small businesses in the Dayton region. He is the Development Director of the STEM curricula at YEDF; providing his technical and leadership skills to support the organization. Moe believes that the future is in the hands of our youths, and it is our obligation, starting now, to lead them to success.

Brad Jones

Web Developer

With over fifteen years of professional experience in the computer science and marketing fields, Bradley Jones is a web and software developer with a dedication to quality, a passion for innovation and entrepreneur-ism.

Tiffany Taylor Smith

YEDF College/University and Organizations Liaison

Tiffany Taylor Smith, M.S. Ed. is the Executive Director for Inclusive Excellence Education at the University of Dayton. She is also the founder of Culture Learning Partners a consulting firm focused on building better cross-cultural relationships and increasing cultural awareness in schools, businesses, and community organizations. She spent 10 years in human resource development, diversity, and sales management at Procter & Gamble. She also served as an adjunct professor in child, adolescent and social psychology at Kean University. Her passion for higher education excellence has set forth a committed relationship with YEDF students and the communities we serve.

Melanie Taylor

YEDF Business Development Director

Melanie is co-founder and Director of Business and Program Development of Balance Elite Solutions a company that has provided real-world education to hundreds of students. B.E. Solutions supports students with programs focusing on personal empowerment, environmental awareness, financial literacy, entrepreneurship & physical fitness. Melanie was with the Columbus Ohio Police Department for 17 years, serving as an Officer and Detective in the Investigative Bureau. She is trained in Community Mediation and Crises Intervention. Melanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Wright State University and is a proud native of Dayton!

Edmond C. O’Neal III

Earlham College Program Director

Edmond C. O’Neal III serves as the President at Northeast Indiana Works. He is responsible for assisting employers and educators in creating a quality workforce, overseeing service delivery to local constituents through WorkOne Northeast and supporting regional collaborative efforts. Prior to joining Northeast Indiana Works, Edmond worked in varying capacities with Northeast Indiana Works, JobWorks Inc, at Texas Christian University and the University of North Texas. He holds a B.A. from Stanford University, an M.Ed from Texas Christian University and an MBA from Indiana University. Edmond is a native of Flint, MI, but calls Fort Wayne home, along with his wife Alicia, and son, Preston.

Trentae Taylor

YEDF Training Director

Trentae is an early childhood education professional who is dedicated to enhancing early learning experiences for young children and their families. She has worked with children for 16 years as a teacher, education coordinator, leadership coach, and child care licensing supervisor. Trentae believes that parent-teacher collaboration is the key to student success. Her goal is to help YEDF build solid training systems to maintain the quality of the year-round after-school programs.

Justin Hall

YEDF Health Care Training

Justin is an Anesthesia Tech at The Ohio State University while working toward his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is responsible for managing and ensuring the success of Fitness, Health, and Wellness at the James Cancer Research Hospital and the Heart Hospital. Justin currently holds an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences and a pursing his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ohio State University. His passion for life and compassion for others fuels his commitment to enhancing the quality of life of each individual.

Beverly Williams

YEDF Business and Community Partnership Developement Liaison

Before joining the YEDF team, Beverly dedicated a 25-year career to serving at-risk youth in Job Corps, a nation-wide education and career training program. She is the former Executive Director of the Job Corps program where she experienced repeatedly high performances in the top third percent of the country. Beverly is a passionate motivational coach who promotes social-emotional wellness and learning. She possess an Associate's in Psychology, a Bachelor's in Interpersonal Communication, a Master's in Criminal Justice and is seeking a PhD in Educational Leadership.
